Don Adams è il nome d'arte di Donald James Yarmy che nacque a New York il 13 aprile del 1923 e che fu un noto attore e doppiatore televisivo americano.
Partecipò alla seconda guerra mondiale contraendo la malaria a Guadalcanal.
In gioventù fece diversi lavori di ogni tipo e dopo essersi sposato con la cantante Adelaide Enfantis nota come Adelaide Adams, iniziò a recitare con il suo nome d'arte.
Ebbe 7 figli e 3 mogli (4 dalla Adams, due dalla seconda moglie, la ballerina Dorothy Bracken ed uno dalla terza, l'attrice Judy Luciano) e divorziò ogni volta terminando la sua esistenza da ricco scapolo.
Particolarmente noto per aver aver interpretato il ben noto personaggio Get Smart agente segreto, di cui produsse alcuni episodi e che gli valse la candidatura agli Emmy Awards per 4 anni consecutivi, vincendone tre.
Accanito giocatore di cavalli come il fratello Dick anche lui attore comico, non era insolito trovarlo seduto al tavole verde al Playboy Mansion impegnato nella sua partita di bridge.
Don che era anche un appassionato di storia ed un talentuoso pittore e poeta scomparve a causa di un infezione polmonare il 25 settembre del 2005 a Beverly Grove presso Los Angeles.

In his youth, he did various jobs of all kinds and after marrying the singer Adelaide Enfantis known as Adelaide Adams, he began acting with his stage name.
He had 7 children and 3 wives (4 from Adams, two from his second wife, the dancer Dorothy Bracken and one from the third, actress Judy Luciano) and divorced each time ending his life as a wealthy bachelor.
Particularly well known for having played the well-known character Get Smart secret agent, of which he produced some episodes and which earned him an Emmy Award nomination for 4 consecutive years, winning three.
An avid horse player, like brother Dick who was also a comedian, it was not unusual to find him sitting at the green table at the Playboy Mansion engaged in his bridge game.
Don who was also a history buff and a talented painter and poet disappeared due to a lung infection on September 25, 2005 in Beverly Grove near Los Angeles.
