Nato il 4 settembre del 1924 a Parigi Antoine Bernheim è stato un rinomato banchiere francese che discende da una famiglia di grandi industriali tessili.

Da molti anni fa parte del Consiglio di Amministrazione delle Assicurazioni Generali, di Mediobanca e di un gran numero di altre grandi aziende assicurative e finanziarie.

Laureato in Giurisprudenza ed in Scienze, nel 1995 ha ricevuto l'onorificenza di Grand'Ufficiale al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, nel 1997 quella di Commendatore dell'Ordine Nazionale Cruzeiro do Sul, nel 2006 Commendatore dell'Ordine delle Arti e delle Lettere e nel 2007 della Gran Croce della Legion d'Onore.

Grande appassionato di Bridge ha spesso volte sponsorizzato attraverso le Generali diversi tra i più importanti Campionati di Bridge.

Antoine Bernheim, né le 4 septembre 1924 à Paris, est un dirigeant d'entreprise et banquier français.

Il est le fils de Léonce Bernheim et de Renée-Marcelle Schwob d'Héricourt (grande famille de marchands juifs de biens, de tradition financière et industrielle renommée).

Il débute sa carrière en 1951 chez Bourjois de la famille Wertheimer, de lointains parents par alliance.

Ancien associé de la Banque Lazard, Antoine Bernheim a été président-directeur général de la compagnie d'assurance italienne Generali pendant 10 ans, basée à Trieste.

Il est reconnu pour avoir joué un rôle dans la constitution des groupes des hommes d'affaires Bernard Arnault, François Pinault et Vincent Bolloré.

Le 24 avril 2010 les actionnaires de Generali ont décidé de se séparer de lui au profit de Cesare Geronzi.

Un grand fan du Bridge a souvent fois parrainé par le Général sont parmi les championnat Bridge le plus important.
