Benito  BIANCHI

 Benito Bianche è nato a Livorno nel 1924, laureato in economia e commercio, commerciante in pelli pregiati è stato un World Grand Master e, tra gli anni '60 e '70 dello scorso secolo, uno dei migliori giocatori europei.

 Ha sposato Marisa che era la sorella del più noto bridgista di Livorno del tempo: Paolo Valenti e che al momento del matrimonio ancora non aveva mai toccato le carte in vita sua.

 Nel suo palmares figurano due Bermuda Bowl (nel 1973 e nel 1974) e quattro Campionati Europei (nel 1965, 1966, 1969 e 1971).

 Per anni presente nelle rappresentative azzurre ha vinto molti titoli nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo il Campionato Nazionale a Squadre del 1962, 4 volte la Coppa Italia (due in coppia con la moglie Marisa che diventò anche lei valente bridgista) e due Campionati a Squadre Miste.

 Come teorico ha ideato e pubblicato il ben noto sistema dichiarativo "Quadri Livorno".

 È scomparso nel 1979.

Born in Leghorn in 1924, graduated in economics and trade, a trader in precious skins, he has been World Grand Master and, in the 60s and 70s of last century, one of the best European players.

He married Marisa, who was the sister of the famous Bridge player Paul Valenti and that, at the time of marriage, still had never touched the cards in his life.

In his palmares are two Bermuda Bowl (1973 and 1974) and four European Championships (1965, 1966, 1969 and 1971).

For many years a column of Italian national, he has won many national titles among which the National Team (1962), the Italian Cup four times (two in tandem with his wife Marisa, who became a fine bridge player) and two Mixed Teams.

As a theorist has created and published the well-known declarative "Leghorn Diamonds".

He disappeared in 1979.
