Il Conte Carl Bonde è nato il 28 febbraio del 1897 a Rytterne una città circa 130 km. ad Ovest della capitale e dopo gli studi si è dedicato alla carriera militare che abbandonò solo nel 1957 con il grado di Colonnello.
Sposato in prime nozze con Martha Morner, in seconde nozze con Greta Swarting e una terza volta con Elisabeth Wachtmeister ebbe tre figli dalla prima moglie.
Addetto militare a Londra prima del secondo conflitto mondiale, fu comandante dei Gruppi Volontari Svedesi in Finlandia, Comandante di Battaglione e Luogotenente Colonnello nell'esercito finlandese.
Pluridecorato, fu membro della commissione di Stato sull'immigrazione, Presidente della Associazione Studentesca dell'Università di Stoccolma e più tardi di quella Nazionale.
Bonde fu anche Presidente della Federazione Bridge Svedese dal 1960, Vice Presidente della EBL fin dal 1950 e Presidente della stessa dal 1965 al 1968, nonché Presidente della WBF dal 1968 al 1970.
Come giocatore fu Campione Europeo nel 1952.
Scomparve nel 1990.
Count Carl Bonde was born on 28 February
1897 in Rytterne a city about 130 km. west of the capital, and
after his studies he dedicated to a military career that he
abandoned only in 1957 with the rank of Colonel.
First married with Martha Morner, in second marriage with Greta Swarting and a third time with Elisabeth Wachtmeister, had three children from his first wife.
Military in London before the World War II, he was commander of the Volunteer Groups Swedes in Finland, Battle Commander and Lieutenant Colonel in the Finnish army.
Highly decorated, was a member of the State Commission on Immigration, President of the Student Association of the University of Stockholm and later of the National.
Bonde was also Chairman of the Swedish Bridge Federation since 1960, Vice President of EBL since 1950 and President of the same from 1965 to 1968, Chairman of the WBF 1968-1970.
As a player he was European Champion in 1952.
He disappeared in 1990.
