Sheyla Bonnick è una giamaicana nata il 16 settembre del 1960 con il nome di Sheila Bonnique naturalizzata inglese, cantautrice e stilista, fondatrice del gruppo musicale "Boney M."
Animalista convinta, ha pubblicato un libro sotto lo pseudonimo di Kat Brown "Women Are Like Cats And Men Are Like Dogs - Or Are They?" e dal 2013 è proprietaria di un rifugio "Second Chance Animal Rescue".
Sheyla ha conosciuto il bridge durante una crociera nella quale insegnava Maureen Hiron ed ha legato con lei una forte amicia che si è poi tradotta anche in collaborazione artistica avendo creato assieme un nuovo genere musicale chiamato "Matzar".
