Richard Bowdery è nato l'8 gennaio 1965 a Chester ma dopo varie peregrinazioni si è stabilito a Londra con la moglie Deb che gli ha dato la figlia Laura prima della loro separazione consensuale.
Richard ha imparato il bridge come autodidatta quando era adolescente ma poi ha smesso di praticarlo fino al 1991.
Amante dei viaggi, Richard nella sua carriera bridgistica ha vinto tra l'altro due Tollemache e tre Hubert Phillips.
Richard, che è anche stato capitano della nazionale femminile inglese agli europei del 2010 è venuto mancare il 21 marzo del 2023.
Richard Bowdery was born on 8 January 1965 in Chester but after various
wanderings he settled in London with his wife Deb who gave birth to their
daughter Laura before their consensual separation.
Richard taught himself bridge as a teenager but stopped playing until 1991.
A lover of travel, Richard has won two Tollemaches and three Hubert Phillips in his bridge career.
Richard, who was also captain of the England women's national team at the 2010 European Championships passed away on 21 March 2023.
