Joshua Crane è nato nel 1869 ed è stato un giocatore di golf, tennis, polo e bridge che, senza raggiungere il professionismo, ha saputo eccellere in tutte queste discipline al massimo livello amatoriale
Dopo aver studiato all'Harvard College si è laureato in ingegneria elettrica al MIT nel 1892 e, prima della guerra, ha anche disegnato una classe di piccoli motoscafi per gareggiare nelle acque del New England.
Ha avuto tre figlie ed ha concluso la sua lunga e divertente vita il 7 dicembre del 1964.
Joshua Crane was born in
1869 and was a golf, tennis, polo and bridge player who, without reaching
professionalism, has been able to excel in all these disciplines at the highest
amateur level.
After studying at Harvard College he graduated in electrical engineering from MIT in 1892 and, before the war, he also designed a class of small motorboats to compete in New England waters.
He had three daughters and ended his long and fun life on December 7, 1964.
