Olandese del 1969, sposato con Agnes Snellers anche lei forte bridgista, analista di computer, amante della lettura, delle passeggiate a piedi e in bicicletta, Wubbo č uno dei migliori giocatori olandesi in attivitā.
Wubbo ha iniziato a giocare giovanissimo all'etā di 14 anni con suo padre Gerrit che č anche stato il suo primo partner, poi dopo aver giocato a lungo con Marcel Nooyen e Paul Jansen da diversi anni forma una coppia formidabile con Bauke Muller.
Nel suo palmares figurano il titolo Europeo a squadre juniores nel 1986 a Budapest, quello Mondiale dell'anno seguente ad Amsterdam, la medaglia di bronzo alle Olimpiadi di Salsomaggiore e la Bermuda Bowl del 1993 a Santiago del Cile.
Wubbo oltre a molti titoli nazionali ha anche vinto il Cavendish Team del 1998 e del 2015 (quest'ultimo in coppia con la moglie), il Forbo Nation Cup del 2000.
Nel 2018 č stato il coach della nazionale giovanile francese che si č aggiudicata il bronzo nel Trofeo Damiani.

Wubbo started playing very young age of 14 with his father Gerrit who was also his first partner, then after playing along with Marcel Jansen and Paul Nooyen for several years as a formidable pair with Bauke Muller.
In his honors include the title of Junior European Teams in 1986 in Budapest, the Junior World Teams the following year in Amsterdam, the bronze medal at the Olympiad in Salsomaggiore and the 1993 Bermuda Bowl in Santiago, Chile.
Wubbo well togheter many national titles has also won the Cavendish Team 1998 and 2015 (paired Agnes), the Forbo Nations Cup in 2000.
In 2018 he has been the coach of bronze medalist team in the Damiani Trophey.
