Mélic Dufrȇne è nato nel 1998 a Cerisy-la-Salle nella Bassa Normandia e ha iniziato a giocare a bridge in casa quando aveva sette anni.
Mélic, che è cresciuto a Cherbourg-Octeville ha frequentato la scuola Bucaille e che ora frequenta il liceo Victor Grignard, ha fatto parte di tutte le nazionali giovanili francesi e nel 2017 ha gareggiato contemporaneamente tra gli juniores e gli youngsters vincendo il Campionato Mondiale Open a Squadre tra le fila dei secondi.
Nel 2018 ha guadagnato il bronzo nel Trofeo Damiani.
Sua sorella Béryl di un anno più grande, baccalaureata in scienze economiche e sociali, ha riportato alcuni importanti piazzamenti nei campionati giovanili nazionali, ha vinto il bronzo nel Channel Trophy del 2016 ed è entrata a far parte della nazionale giovanile femminile francese.
Nel 2018 ha vinto il bronzo nella Rona Cup.
Il loro papà Pierre è presidente delle Cherbourg Bridge Loisir club.
Mélic Dufrȇne
