Ivan Erdos è nato a Budapest il 31 ottobre del 1924 era il nipote del grande designer Paul Laszlo ed è stato uno dei migliori giocatori nel primo ventennio della seconda metà del secolo scorso.

 Ivan si trasferì in Inghilterra dal 1939 al 1951e successivamente a Los Angeles negli Stati Uniti dove ha lavorato come agente di viaggio e dove ha preso la cittadinanza americana.

 Con i colori USA ha vinto la medaglia d'argento nella Bermuda Bowl del 1965 ed il Campionato del Mondo a Coppie Miste del 1966.

 Sul piano nazionale ha conquistato molti importanti piazzamenti ed ha vinto diversi NABC tra i quali ricordiamo i Mitchell del 1959 e del 1964 ed il Wernher del 1962.

 É stato editore della rivista americana "San Diego Magazine" ed ha collaborato con l'ACBL Bulletin dove ha tenuto a lungo la rubrica "Dupliquiz".

 É scomparso prematuramente a Carlsbad in California il 28 settembre del 1967 a causa di un attacco di cuore.

  Ivan Erdos was born in Budapest on October 31, 1924 was the nephew of famous architect Paul Laszlo and was one of the best players in the first twenty years of second half of the last century.

 Ivan moved to England from 1939 to 1951and later in Los Angeles  where he worked as a travel agent and where he took American citizenship.

With the colors of the USA won the silver medal in the 1965 Bermuda Bowl and the gold medal in the World Mixed Pairs Championships of 1966.

At the national level has won many important placings and won several NABC among which the Mitchell in 1959 and 1964 and the Wernher 1962.

He was editor of the American magazine "San Diego Magazine" and has collaborated with the ACBL Bulletin where he has long held the heading "Dupliquiz."

He died prematurely in Carlsbad (California) September 28, 1967 due to a heart attack.
