Arnie & Jeanne FISHER

 

 Arnold Fisher è nato nel 1938 nell'area di Philadelphia ed è un uomo d'affari e professore universitario presso la Temple University che ora è un giocatore professionista e uno scrittore di bridge. 

 Laureato in lingue all'Università della Pennsylvania ed ex giocatore di scacchi, dopo aver vissuto a lungo in Gran Bretagna, oggi vive a Clementon nel New Jersey ed insegna bridge al Wilmington Bridge Club.

 Arnie ha vinto 7 NABC tra il 1996 ed il 2003 e a livello internazionale ha guadagnato il titolo di Senior International Master conquistando il bronzo ai Campionati del Mondo per Squadre Seniores nel 2003 e l'argento nella Rand Cup del 2014.

 Arnie è vedovo di Jeanne Helene Fisher Young che si è spenta nella sua casa di Clementon il 28 settembre del 2005 dopo due anni di impari battaglia con la sclerosi multipla.

Jeanne era nata il 10 giugno del 1940 ed aveva fondato verso la fine degli anni ottanta il South Jersey Bridge Club di Cherry Hill.

Discreta giocatrice, Jeanne che aveva avuto 4 figli di cui due dal precedente marito Ronald Elkner, aveva vinto diversi titoli sia in Gran Bretagna che negli USA tra i quali il più prestigioso fu certamente il Whitehead Women Pairs del 1989.

Degree in languages ​​at the University of Pennsylvania and former chess player, after having lived in Britain, come back in USA and now lives in Clementon NJ  teaching bridge to Wilmington Bridge Club.

Arnie won 7 NABC between 1996 and 2003 and at the international level has gained the title of Senior International Master winning the bronze at the World Seniors Teams Championships in 2003 and silver in Rand Cup of 2014.

Arnie is widower of Jeanne Helene Fisher Young who passed away at his home in Clementon 28 September 2005 after two years of unequal battle with multiple sclerosis.

Jeanne was born on June 10, 1940 and had founded in the late eighties, the South Jersey Bridge Club of Cherry Hill.

Decent player, Jeanne who had four children of which two from her previous husband Ronald Elkner, had won several titles in both the UK and the US among which the most prestigious was certainly the Whitehead Women Pairs of 1989.
