Catharina Forsberg Ahlesved č nata il 15 gennaio 1962 a Örebro una cittā della Svezia situata circa 200 Km a Ovest di Stoccolma che conta oltre 100.000 abitanti. Capoluogo dell'omonima contea, la cittā sta diventando una vera e propria fucina bridgistica.
Catharina ha lavorato per lungo tempo come insegnante in una scuola locale la Tullängsskolan per poi trasferirsi nel 2009 a Stoccolma dove vive con il marito il campione olimpico Krister Ahlesved e con i due figli Federico e Sofia.
A Stoccolma gestisce assieme al marito con la collaborazione di altri celebri campioni svedesi la pių famosa Scuola di Bridge di Svezia (www.nyabridgeskolan.se) all'interno del circolo BK St. Erik.
Come giocatrice Catharina dopo aver vinto il bronzo nei Transnazionali Europei Femminili a Squadre del 2003 č diventata Campionessa Europea nel 2004 ed ha ha guadagnato l'argento nella stessa competizione nel 2018.

Catharina as a player, after winning the bronze medal in the Transnational European Women's Team in 2003, became European Champion in 2004 and in the some competition she earned the silver medal in 2018.
