Greer  GARSON

Eileen Evelyn Greer Garson nacque nella periferia londinese il 29 settembre del 1904 ed è stata un'attrice, cantante e poetessa naturalizzata statunitense.

 Candidata sette volte all'Oscar lo vinse come miglior protagonista per la grande interpretazione nel famoso "La signora Miniver".

 Frequentò il corso di Belle Arti all'Università di Londra con l'idea di diventare insegnante ma iniziò a lavorare in un'agenzia pubblicitaria il che la porto a calcare le scene teatrali.

 Scoperta da Louis Mayer, si trasferì ad Hollywood nel 1937 grazie ad un contratto offerto dalla MGM.

 Sposata tre volte dal 1933 al 1940 con Edward Alec Abbot Snelson, dal 1943 al 1947 con Richard Ney e dal 1949 al 1987 con Buddy Fogelson, non ebbe mai figli.

 Non era infrequente trovarla seduta ad un tavolo da bridge, un gioco che seppur a livello di hobby, la intrigava non poco.

 Scomparve a Dallas il 6 aprile del 1966.

  Eileen Evelyn Greer Garson was born in the London suburbs on 29 September 1904 and was an American naturalized actress, singer and poet.

A seven-time Oscar nominee, he won it as best protagonist for the great performance in the famous "Mrs. Miniver".

She attended the Fine Arts course at the University of London with the idea of becoming a teacher but he started working in an advertising agency which led her to take on the theatrical scenes.

Discovered by Louis Mayer, she moved to Hollywood in 1937 thanks to a contract offered by MGM.

Married three times from 1933 to 1940 with Edward Alec Abbot Snelson, from 1943 to 1947 with Richard Ney and from 1949 to 1987 with Buddy Fogelson, he never had children.

It was not uncommon to find her sitting at a bridge table, a game that, although at the hobby level, intrigued her a lot.

She disappeared in Dallas on April 6, 1966.
