Michael Gromöller è nato il 17 marzo del 1965 a Bamberga, ha frequentato il Ginnasio della sua città e vive come professionista del bridge insegnando nel principale club di Bamberga e organizzando viaggi bridgistici.
Ha iniziato a giocare a Bridge verso i 14 anni sotto la guida del padre e a 16 ha fatto la sua prima apparizione nella nazionale tedesca juniores.
Sposato senza figli il suo palmares comprende oltre ad una ventina di titoli nazionali: un bronzo nei Campionati Europei a Squadre del 2008, un bronzo nel Transnazionale Mondiale a Squadre del 2009, un oro, un bronzo e due argenti nelle Champion Cup del 2006, 2007, 2009 e 2014, un argento nel Campionato Europeo a Coppie Seniores del 1991 ed il bronzo nella Wuhan Cup del 2022.
Guida del bridge giovanile tedesco ha vinto da allenatore l'argento agli Europei Juniores a Squadre del 1992, l'oro nei Mondiali Juniores a Squadre del 1993, un Damiani Trophy .
Ha anche scritto alcuni libri di discreto successo in lingua tedesca.
Michael Gromöller was born on March 17, 1965 in Bamberg, he
attended the gymnasium of his city and lives as a bridge professional teaching in the main club in Bamberg
and organizing bridge tour.
He started playing Bridge at the age of 14 under his father's guidance and at 16 made his first appearance in the German junior national team.
Married without children, his palmares includes over twenty national titles: a bronze in the 2008 European Team Championships, a bronze in the 2009 World Team Transnational Championships, a gold, a bronze and two silvers in the Champion Cups of 2006, 2007 , 2009 and 2014, a silver in the 1991 European Championship for Senior Pairs and a bronze in Wuhan Cup of 2022.
German youth bridge guide, as a coach, he won silver at the 1992 European Junior Team Championships, gold in the 1993 Junior World Team Championships, a Damiani Trophy in 1996.
He has also written some successful books in the German language.
