Peter Jordan è nato il 12 marzo del 1942 a Thames un piccolo centro dell'Oxfordshire dove ha lavorato e vissuto per gran parte della sua vita.

Ha studiato presso la scuola di grammatica Lord Williams e si è sposato con Barbara dalla quale ha avuto tre figli.
Per gran parte della sua vita ha gestito l'azienda di famiglia promuovendola da piccola macelleria a raffinato negozio di enogastronomia.
Dopo averla venduta nel 2000, è rimasto per qualche tempo consulente di una serie di piccole aziende ed ha trasformato il suo locale nel Rumsey café.
Da quel momento la sua principale occupazione è stata l'amministrazione del bridge. Entusiasta organizzatore di manifestazioni EBU è stato l'anima del dipartimento gare britannico.
Innamorato, oltre che del bridge, di molti sport, acceso tifoso dell'Arsenal in gioventù ha praticato il golf e con maggior successo il ping pong ed il cricket e nell'ultima parte della sua vita è stato anche un attore di teatro a livello amatoriale.
Appassionato bridgista giocava regolarmente a giorni alterni fin quando un infausto ictus non ne ha ridotto di molto le capacità vitali.
Peter è venuto a mancare il 12 maggio del 2020.
Peter Jordan was born on March 12, 1942 in Thames, a small
town in Oxfordshire where he worked and lived for most of his life.
He studied at Lord Williams grammar school and married Barbara with whom he had three children.
For most of his life, she ran the family business, promoting it from a small butcher to a refined food and wine shop.
After he sold it in 2000, he remained a consultant for a number of small businesses for some time and transformed his local into the Rumsey café.
Since that time his main occupation has been the administration of bridge. An enthusiastic EBU event organizer he was the soul of the British racing department.
In love with many sports as well as bridge, he was an ardent Arsenal fan in his youth, he practiced golf and more successfully table tennis and cricket and in the latter part of his life he was also an amateur theater actor.
Passionate bridge player, he played regularly every other day until an unfortunate stroke greatly reduced his vital capacities.
Peter passed away on May 12, 2020.
