Karl Christian Larsen è nato nel 1941 a Kristiansand una città costiera della Norvegia a metà strada tra Stavanger e Oslo.
Chris in gioventù era molto portato per la matematica e per il calcio che dovette abbandonare a causa di un serio infortunio. Dopo il servizio militare si è laureato in Economia e si è trasferito in California dove ha passato il resto della sua vita.
Chris, che aveva imparato il bridge da bambino giocando con i suoi genitori, è stato un insegnate di valore e un ottimo giocatore che ha fatto parte di alcune nazionali USA e che ha conseguito i suoi maggiori successi nella Categoria senior, vincendo la Senior Bowl del 2001 e conquistando l'argento l'anno successivo nel Mondiale Senior a Squadre.
Queste vittorie gli valsero il titolo di Senior Life Master.

Sul piano nazionale ha vinto 6 NABC tra i quali ricordiamo il Silodor del 2010, Il Wernher del 2001 ed il GNT del 1990.
Vedovo di Kay Hall Larsen (nella foto) che gli aveva dato tre figli e che era anche lei una valente bridgista, viveva da tempo con la compagna Salle.
Si è spento nella sua casa di Laguna Woods il 23 giugno del 2014.
Kay Hall era nata a Cincinnati il 14 gennaio del 1938, aveva studiato medicina e si era molto dedicata oltre che al Bridge agli animali che amava particolarmente e che ha curato per oltre trenta anni facendo volontariato in una clinica per persone con poche possibilità economica.
Kay, che parlava fluentemente spagnolo, aveva avuto tre figli, Kenneth, Gina e Christian si è spenta in un ospedale di Costa Mesa il 10 febbraio del 2011.
Giocava spesso in coppia con il marito con cui ha partecipato ad alcune competizioni mondiali e con cui ha raggiunto un paio di secondi posti nel GNT del 1990 e nel Rockwell Mixed Pairs nel 1995.

Chris in his youth was very good at math and football that he had to leave due to a serious injury. After his military service he graduated in economics and moved to California where he spent the rest of his life.
Chris, who learned the bridge as a child playing with his parents, was a teacher of value and a great player who has served on several U.S. National and achieved its greatest successes in the senior category, winning the Senior Bowl in 2001 and earning the silver medal in 2002 Senior World Teams. These victories earned him the title of Senior Life Master.
He also won 6 NABC, among them we remember the 1990 GNT, the 2001 Wernher and the 2010 Silodor.
Widowed Kay Hall Larsen (pictured) who had given him three children, and that she was also a talented bridge player, he lived for some time with Salle.
He died at his home in Laguna Woods on June 24, 2014.
Kay Hall was born in Cincinnati on January 14, 1938, she studied medicine and was very dedicated to the Bridge as well as the animals that she particularly loved, and who was responsible for over thirty years doing volunteer work in a clinic for people with few economic opportunities.
Kay, who spoke fluent Spanish, had three children, Kenneth, Gina and Christian and she is off to a hospital in Costa Mesa on February 10, 2011.
She played often together with her husband with whom she participated in some World competitions and with whom we have a couple of second places in the GNT 1990 and Rockwell Mixed Pairs in 1995.
