Plinio & Piera  MAGGI

 Plinio Maggi è nato il 21 ottobre del 1940 a Catania, farmacista, è stato un ottimo musicologo ed un buon bridgista.

 Prima di dedicarsi alla sua farmacia, Plinio, che in età avanzata ha anche composto un'opera lirica, ha partecipato due volte al Festival di Sanremo negli anni 60 ed è particolarmente noto al mondo del bridge per aver composto "l'inno del bridge" che risuona ad ogni importante premiazione.

 Sposato con Piera Maggi, valente bridgista capace di vincere diversi titoli italiani femminili e campionessa italiana a squadre nel 1996 e nel 2004, ha avuto due figlie, Alessia e Giorgia, che ora portano avanti la sua farmacia.

Plinio si è spento il 20 ottobre del 2019 nella sua Catania.

  Plinio Maggi was born on 21 October 1940 in Catania, a pharmacist, he was an excellent musicologist and a good bridge player.

Before turning to his pharmacy, Plinio, who in later life also composed an opera, participated twice in the Sanremo Festival in the 60s and is particularly known in the world of bridge for having composed "the bridge hymn" which resonates at every major award ceremony.

Married to Piera Maggi, a talented bridge player capable of winning several Italian women's titles and Italian team champions in 1996 and 2004, he had two daughters, Alessia and Giorgia, who now run his pharmacy.

Pliny died on 20 October 2019 in his Catania.
