Diniar Minwalla è nato il 27 settembre del 1953 a Bombay ma vive a Gaborone in Botswana fin dal 1982.

 Diniar ha iniziato a giocare quando aveva 15 anni in quanto i suoi nonni che erano giocatori di Whist, lo chiamavano per fare il quarto quando mancava qualcuno. Poi, durante gli anni del college, è passato al bridge.

 Quando la Pricewaterhouse Coopers gli offrì un posto in Africa, si trasferì e divenne un socio del Gaborone Bridge Club dove conobbe sua moglie Nancy che gli diede la figlia Stephanie nel 1990 (nella foto la famiglia è al completo).

 Ben presto divenne Presidente del Club e formò una forte coppia con Leif-Erik Stabell con cui vinse i campionati a coppie del sud Africa nel 2005.

 Dal 2000 ha rappresentato diverse volte la nazionale botswaniana giocando a volte in coppia con la moglie.

 Nancy Minwalla è specializzata in ipnoterapia ed è un'ottima bridgista che ha partecipato con il marito alle Olimpiadi del 2000 difendendo i colori del Botswana.

  Diniar Minwalla was born on September 27, 1953 in Bombay but has lived in Gaborone in Botswana since 1982.

Diniar started playing when he was 15 because his grandparents who were players of Whist, called him to make the fourth when someone was missing.

Then, during the college years he moved to bridge.

When Pricewaterhouse Coopers offered him a place in Africa he moved and became a member of the Gaborone Bridge Club where he met his wife Nancy who gave a daughter Stephanie in 1990 (in the picture the family is full).

He soon became President of the Club and formed a strong pair with Leif-Erik Stabell with whom he won the pairs in South Africa in 2005.

Since 2000 he has represented the Botswana national team several times, sometimes playing with his wife.

Nancy Winwalla specializes in hypnotherapy is an excellent bridge player who participated with her husband at the 2000 Olympics games defending the colors of Botswana.
