Ha conosciuto il bridge quando aveva 8 anni, ma lo ha intrapreso con continuitā solo dai 12.
Si č laureata in Geologia Tecnica all'Universitā di Aarhus dove sta frequentando un master in Geoscienza e parla oltre al danese, l'inglese e lo spagnolo.
Maria fa parte della nazionale Juniores Open danese con la quale ha conquistato il bronzo al Campionato Europeo a Squadre Open del 2011.
