Eduardo Piza è nato il 6 dicembre 1955 a Cartago, una città circa 30 km ad Est della capitale ed è uno dei migliori giocatori del suo Paese.
Professore ad honorem in matematica presso l'università del Costa Rica, vive a San José con la moglie Alexandra Mora Arias anche lei buona giocatrice.
Edu, che è anche un ottimo scacchista, ha fatto parte alcune volte della nazionale costaricense e nel 2008 è anche stato capitano non giocatore della nazionale giovanile.
Eduardo Piza was born on December 6, 1955 in Cartago,
a city about 30 km east of the capital and is one of
the best players in his country.
Honorary professor in mathematics at the University of Costa Rica, lives in San José with his wife Alexandra Mora Arias, also a good bridge player.
Edu, who is also an excellent chess player, has been a member of the Costa Rican team a few times and in 2008 he was also a non-player captain of the youth team.
