 Laura Cecilia Porro č nata a Milano il 31 marzo 1986 e oggi vive e lavora a St. Andrews una cittadina universitaria scozzese che si trova circa 20 Km  a sud di Dundee.

 Laura, che ha un ingegno poliedrico, dopo aver frequentato il Liceo Classico Carducci, ha preso una Laurea breve in filosofia all'Universitā Statale di Milano e, sempre nella stessa cittā, una Laurea specialistica in Flauto traverso al Conservatorio Verdi ed un diploma in Lingua e Cultura Araba presso l'Istituto Italiano per l'Africa e l'Oriente.

 Nel 2008 si č trasferita in Scozia per migliorare la sua conoscenza dell'inglese ed ha guadagnato un Master in Lettere e Filosofia all'Universitā St. Andrews dove ha anche lavorato come tutor.

 In 2012, nell'attesa di completare il suo dottorato di ricerca, si č trasferita a Londra per lavorare nell'Acol Bridge Club di Andrew Macintosh.

Nel 2019 si č sposata con il bridgista Adrian Orlowski.

 Laura, che oltre al Bridge insegna anche il Flauto, ha partecipato con successo a diversi Campionati e Tornei internazionali vincendo nel 2012 in coppia con Stelio di Bello il torneo a Coppie Miste organizzato dalla LMBA in occasione del Lederer Memorial Trophy, uno dei principali appuntamenti del circuito bridgistico britannico.

 Nel 2013 Laura in coppia con Catherine Gerrard, ha fatto parte della squadra femminile scozzese che č arrivata seconda al prestigioso Lady Milne.

  Laura Cecilia Porro was born in Milan March 31, 1986 and now lives and works in St. Andrews a university town in Scotland which is located about 20km south of Dundee.

Laura, who has a multifaceted genius, after attending the high school Carducci, took a short degree in philosophy at the University of Milan and, in the same city, she has took a Master degree in Flute at the Conservatory Verdi and a Diploma in Language and Arab culture at the Italian Institute for Africa and the Far East.

In 2008 she moved to Scotland to improve her knowledge of English and earned a Master of Letter in Philosophy at the University St. Andrews where she has worked as a tutor.

in 2012, while awaiting completion of her PhD, she moved to London to work in the Acol Bridge Club of Andrew Macintosh.

In 2019 she married the bridge player Adrian Orlowski.

Laura, who also teaches the Flute over the Bridge, has successfully participated in several international championships and tournaments, winning in 2012 in tandem with Stelio di Bello the Mixed Pairs tournament organized by LMBA at the Lederer Memorial Trophy, one of the highlights of the bridge circuit of  UK.

In 2013, Laura paired with Catherine Gerrard, has been part of Scottish women's team that arrived 2nd in the prestigious Lady Milne.
