Irène Saesseli è nata a Zurigo il 25 settembre del 1967 ed è figlia d'arte. Suo papà, Max Saesseli (1928) è stato Campione d'Europa a Coppie nel 1993 e sua mamma Harriet von Hurter (1934) era una discreta giocatrice. Oggi vivono entrambi per buona parte dell'anno a Cipro dove hanno l'azienda di famiglia.

 Irène, che ha studiato finanza e che parla correttamente oltre al tedesco,  l'inglese ed il francese, opera come Manager Assistant presso il Credit Suisse.

 É stata sposata con Mike Lepori con il quale ha avuto due figli ed ora vive a Zurigo con il suo compagno Fernando Piedro, di origine uruguagia e anche lui buon bridgista.

 Ottima giocatrice, ha fatto più volte parte della squadra elvetica ed è anche arbitro nazionale.

   Irène Saesseli was born in Zurich on September 25, 1967 and is the daughter of art. Her father, Max Saesseli was European  Champion in 1993 and his mother Harriett von Hurter was a decent player.

 Irène, who has studied finance and who is fluent in German, English and French, works as Assistant Manager at Credit Suisse.

 She was married to Mike Lepori with whom he had two sons and now lives in Zurich with his partner Fernando Piedro of Uruguayan origin and he too good bridge player.

 Great player, she made more than once part of the team and is also the Swiss national referee.
