Ed  THEUS

 

 Edgar Theus è nato nel 1913 ed è stato un avvocato, un abile giocatore e, soprattutto, uno stimato ed efficiente amministratore.

 Eletto nel CdA dell'ACBL nel 1961 è stato rieletto ben 8 volte stabilendo il record di Amministratore per 27 anni consecutivi! ed ottenendo nel 1989 la nomina a Presidente Emerito.

 Dal 1969 al 1986 fu anche delegato per il Nord America alla World Bridge Federation di cui è stato anche Vice Presidente.

 Ed capitanò anche le Squadre USA che vinsero argento e ora nelle Bermuda Bowl del 1977 e 1979.

  Edgar Theus was born in 1913 and has been a lawyer, a skilled player and, above all, a respected and efficient administrator.

Elected in the ACBL Board in 1961, he was re-elected 8 times setting the Administrator record for 27 consecutive years! and obtaining in 1989 his appointment as Chairman Emeritus.

From 1969 to 1986 he was also the Chief Executive for North America at the World Bridge Federation of which he was also Vice President.

Edgar also captained the US Teams that won silver and now in Bermuda Bowl of 1977 and 1979.
