Vytautas Vainikonis è nato a Vilnius l'11 maggio del 1953 ed un eminente imprenditore lituano grande appassionato di bridge.

 Vytas, che sposato con Julia ha avuto tre figli Anastasia, Karina ed Erikas, ha iniziato a giocare a bridge nel 1980 dopo aver praticato in precedenza ogni tipo di gioco di carte.

 World International Master, ha collezionato una serie di medaglie nel Campionato delle Piccole Federazioni Europee che ha vinto nel 2009 e nel 2019 ha conquistato il bronzo agli Europei Senior a Coppie.

 Infine, nel 2022 si è tolto la soddisfazione di trionfare nella Rand Cup.

 Vytas, che è anche noto in Italia per aver vinto il Torneo Città di Roma nel 2013, è lo sponsor della VV Cup a inviti ed ha vinto la Reisinger del 2015.

 Erikas Vainikonis, che è nato il 31 luglio del 1980 a Vilnius, ha studiato al Washington College, parla oltre al lituano, l'inglese, il polacco ed il russo ed è l'attuale CEO dell'Orakulas di Vilnius,  oltre ad essere anche lui un buon bridgista ed un World International Master.

 I Vainikonis si sono messi in luce in campo internazionale nei Campionati Europei per le Piccole Federazioni .

 Erikas ha vinto l'argento nel 2007 ed ha capitanato da non giocatore la squadra che ha vinto l'edizione successiva che vedeva in campo il padre.

Nel 2016 ha vinto il FMB Trophy ai Giochi Invernali Europei

 In coppia, padre e figlio hanno vinto il Patton Scratch di Biarritz del 2006.

Vytautas Vainikonis was born in Vilnius on 11 May 1953 and is an eminent Lithuanian businessman who is a big fan of bridge.

Vytas, who married to Julia had three children Anastasia, Karina and Erikas, began playing bridge in 1980 after having previously played all kinds of card games.

Vytas, who is also known in Italy for winning the City of Rome Tournament in 2013, is the sponsor of the VV Cup by invitation and won the 2015 Reisinger.

Erikas Vainikonis, who was born on July 31, 1980 in Vilnius, studied at Washington College, speaks in addition to Lithuanian, English, Polish and Russian and is the current CEO of Orakulas in Vilnius, as well as being also he is a good bridge player and a World International Master.

The Vainikonis have excelled in the international arena in the European Championships for Small Federations.

Erikas won silver in 2007 and captained as a non-player the team that won the next edition that saw his father on the field.

In 2016 he won the FMB Trophy at the European Winter Games.

As a couple, father and son won the 2006 Biarritz Patton Scratch.
