Si tratta di una particolare forma di sottoaperture (6-11PO) che possono essere eseguite indifferentemente con una monocolore sesta o con una grande bicolore definita.

Il rispondente che non intravede manche dichiara a gradino e l'apertore passa con la monocolore o nomina il pių economico dei suoi due colori.

con il massimo: 3SA con la monocolore, o il colore meno economico della bicolore
Sono facilmente ideabili sviluppi leggermente pių sofisticati.

Responder bids the next suit to play, and opener either passes with the single suited hand, or bids the lower suit of the 2 suits.
To enquire for game, Responder Bids 2NT. Opener bids his suit if single suited, or the lower suit of the 2 suits. A minimum/maximum structure may also be developed here. For example 3NT could be bid with a maximum hand 1 suited, and the higher ranking suit of the 2 suits could show the maximum 2 suited hand.
