Gioco della Carta

Il modo più semplice per riferirsi ai giocatori riuniti attorno al tavolo è usando i punti cardinali:

Rispetto all'astuccio che si trova a centro tavolo le posizioni dei giocatori si definiscono in senso orario a partire da quella del dichiarante:

Rispetto alla dinamica della licita i giocatori assumono dei nomi in riferimento al primo di loro che apre l'asta dichiarativa. Se, dichiarante Sud, il primo giro di licita è andato nel seguente modo:

L'azione dell'apertura definisce sia il giocatore che la esegue che prende il nome di Apertore, sia il suo compagno che assume il nome di Rispondente, tuttavia, se gli opponenti non intervengono nell'asta conservano le loro definizioni iniziali in relazione alla posizione dei punti cardinali.

Quando uno degli opponenti prende parte attiva all'asta, automaticamente definisce se stesso come Intervenente ed il suo compagno come Sostenente. Ad esempio se il primo giro di licita procede in questo modo:

Quando uno dei due componenti la linea dell'apertore passa sull'ultima licita del compagno allora all'opponente che lo segue tocca la responsabilità di far finire l'asta passando pure lui, oppure, di riaprila:

L'ultima licita di questo Est prende il nome di Riapertura ed il suo ruolo diviene quello del Riapertore.

Referring to the case located in the center of the table, the positions of the players are defined in a clockwise direction starting from the declarer:

Referring to the dynamics of the auction, players take names in reference to the first of them who opens the declarative auction. If, with South declaring, the first round of bidding went as follows:

The player nomenclature becomes the following:

	Opener
West		East
	Responder

The opening action defines both the player who performs it, who is called the Opener, and his partner, who is called the Responder. However, if the opponents do not intervene in the auction, they retain their initial definitions in relation to the position of the cardinal points.

When one of the opponents takes an active part in the auction, he automatically defines himself as the Overcaller and his partner as the Advancer. For example, if the first round of bidding proceeds in this way:

The player nomenclature becomes the following:

	Apertore
Overcaller		Advancer
	Rispondente

When one of the two members of the opener's side passes on the last bid of his partner, then the opponent who follows him has the responsibility of ending the auction by passing as well, or of reopening it:

The last bid of this East is called the Reopening and his role becomes that of the Reopener.
