Jack C. Anhalt è nato il 20 gennaio del 1909 a Providence nello stato del Rhode Island ed è stato una delle figure più rappresentative del mondo del bridge nell'area di Milwaukee dove si era trasferito con la moglie dal 1949.
Sposato con Sadye nata il 29 settembre del 1915, contabile di professione, è stato uno dei Direttori di Torneo più apprezzati della seconda metà del secolo scorso, carriera che aveva abbracciato tralasciando le sue origini di appassionato giocatore, che aveva ripreso dopo il pensionamento e che lo portarono a divenire ACBL Life Master nel 1971.
Jack si è spento il 26 gennaio del 2005 a Tucson dove si era ritirato dopo il pensionamento, la moglie Sadye lo ha seguito poco dopo spegnendosi il 18 gennaio del 2007.

Married Sadye, born September 29, 1915, the accounting profession, has been one of the most respected tournament directors of the second half of the last century, career that had embraced leaving out its origins as a passionate player, who had taken over after his retirement and that led him to become ACBL Life Master in 1971.
Jack passed away on January 26, 2005 in Tucson where he had moved after retirement, the devote Sadye followed him shortly time dying on January 18 of 2007.
