Ken Barbour è nato nel 1938 ed è stato un ingegnere laureato a Cambridge che nel 1963 si è trasferito negli Stati Uniti prima a Boston e poi a Phoenix.
Quando aveva da poco superato i trenta anni, Ken era un forte giocatore che seppe vincere la Gold Cup, il Crockfords e la Tollemache arrivando anche quarto nel campionato europeo a squadre del 1962.
La difficoltà di conciliare il lavoro con il bridge agonistico lo allontanò dagli impegni sportivi internazionali.

Ken Barbour was born in

moved to the United
States in 1963 first to
Boston and then to
Phoenix.
When he was just over thirty years old, Ken was a strong player who managed to win the Gold Cup, Crockfords and Tollemache even finishing fourth in the 1962 European team championship.
The difficulty of reconciling work with competitive bridge removed him from international sporting commitments.
Barbour disappeared on January 6, 2021
