Cheryl  & Jim BJERKAN

 Cheryl Lou "Cheri" Bjerkan è nata il 29 giugno del 1947 e vive a Elmhurst una cittadina dell'Illinois una trentina di Km a Ovest di Chicago.

 Sposata con James Bjerkan, anche lui noto bridgista, hanno avuto due figlie Amanda e Chelsea.

 Cheri ha vinto una ventina di Campionati Nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo due volte il Whitehead nel 1992 e nel 2002 e gli Sternberg del 1991, del 2017 e del 2018.

 Ha fatto parte più volte della nazionale femminile a stelle e strisce arrivando a vincere la Venice Cup nel 1987, competizione nella quale ha fatto seguire un bronzo nel 1991 e l'argento nella Wuhan Cup nel 2019.

 Cheri, che è una World Life Master, ha fatto parte del CdA della Chicago Country Bridge Association ed è stata anche tesoriere sia della USBF che della ACBL.

 James Bjerkan è nato il 6 ottobre del 1947 a Moline nell'Illinois e ha frequentato le scuole superiori locali prima di laurearsi all'università Urbana-Champaign.

Libero professionista, in coppia con la moglie ha vinto il Mixed Bam Teams del 1998.

   Cheryl Lou Bjerkan was born in 1947 and lives in Elmhurst Illinois a small town about thirty miles west of Chicago.

 Married to James Bjerkan, also him known bridge player, they have had two daughters Amanda and Chelsea.

Cheri has won about twenty National Championships among which twice the Whitehead (in 1992 and 2002) and the Sternberg (1991, 2017, 2018). She has been part four times of the national women's coming to win the Venice Cup in 1987, a competition in which she did follow a bronze in 1991 and the silver in 2019 Wuhan Cup.

Cheri, which is a World Life Master, she was a member of the board of the Chicago Country Bridge Association and was also treasurer of both the USBF that the ACBL.

Jim Bjerkan was born October 6, 1947 in Moline (IL), studied at local high school and graduated at Urbana-Champaign university.

Freelance, paired his wife won Mixed Bam Teams of 1998.
