Knut Blakset è nato il 19 marzo del 1960 a Trondheim in Norvegia ed ha studiato al Ginnasio di Odense nella penisola danese di Fyn e oggi vive a Frederiksberg non lontano dalla capitale.
Sposato con Dorte Rechendorff, dopo aver vinto un argento ai Campionati IMSA a coppie del 1997 ha colto il suo primo successo internazionale con il bronzo conquistato nei Campionati Europei a Squadre Open del 2005 e nella Coppia dei Campioni del 2014, sempre giocando in coppia con il fratello Lars.
Knut Blakset was born on 19 March 1960 in Trondheim Norway and studied at the
Gymnasium of Odense in the Danish peninsula of Fyn and now lives in
Frederiksberg not far from the capital.
Married with Dorte Rechendorff, after winning a silver in IMSA Pairs Championships of 1997 took his first international success with the bronze won in the European Open Teams Championships in 2005 and in the 2014 Champion's Cup, always playing in tandem with the newest brother Lars.
