Berend van den Bos è nato all'Aia il 15 febbraio del 1987, ha frequentato il Christelijk College De Populier  e si laureato in ingegneria presso l'Università delle Scienze Applicate dell'Aia.

 Single, ha fondato una società che si occupa esclusivamente di bridge, appunto la "Vandenbos Bridge" con la quale segue tutte le sue numerose attività inerenti il gioco.

 World International Master si è messo in luce a livello intercontinentale tra gli juniores vincendo un oro ed un bronzo ai Mondiali a Squadre Giovanili ed un altro oro in quelli a Coppie, mentre, l'anno successivo ha vinto l'oro a squadre.

 A livello continentale ha vinto l'argento nella Champion Cup del 2015 e agli Europei Giovanili del 2019 e l'oro agli Europei a Squadre Open del 2022.

 Oltre a diversi titoli nazionali, ha anche vinto il Cavendish Teams del 2015.
