 Giovanni Luca  DARBI

 

 Giovanni Luca Darbi è nato a Milano nel 1950 dove ha frequentato il Liceo Scientifico Oppenheimer e dove si è laureato alla Bocconi.

 Dirigente d'azienda prima e Direttore Generale poi, dopo il trasferimento a Verona si è dato alla vita politica diventando Assessore Comunale alla Cultura e al Turismo dal 1194 al 2002.

 A lui si deve la nascita del Museo Permanente della Fotografia agli Scali Scaligeri.

 Consulente, coordinatore degli Enti partecipati dal Comune di Verona ha lasciato un'impronta indelebile anche nel mondo del bridge dove è stato, oltre che buon giocatore, Presidente del Circolo Cittadino e Consigliere Federale.

 É grazie alla sua caparbietà che Verona ha potuto ospitare i Campionati del Mondo di Bridge del 2006.

 Sposato con l'avvocato Beatrice Morgante, si è spento il 7 settembre del 2015 dopo aver combattuto per anni con un terribile male.

Giovanni Luca Darbi was born in Milan in 1950 where he attended the Oppenheimer High School and  where he graduated at the Bocconi.

Business executive before and CEO then, after moving to Verona is given to political life becoming City Councilor for Culture and Tourism from 1194 to 2002.

He was responsible for the birth of the Permanent Museum of Photography to Scali Scaligeri.

Consultant, coordinator of companies participated by the City of Verona, he has still left an indelible mark in the world of bridge where he was not only good player, but President of the City Circle and Federal Councilor.

It is thanks to his tenacity that Verona was able to host the World Championships in Bridge 2006.

Married to lawyer Beatrice Morgante, he died 7 September 2015 after fighting for years with a terrible disease.
