Mike  DENNERY

 

 Mike Dennery è nata ad Orano l'8 dicembre del 1928 e si è spostata 15 anni con un generale che amava giocare a bridge con gli amici e così conobbe il gioco.

 Nel 1947, quando aveva già due dei suoi tre figli, si trasferì a Tours dove giocava abitualmente in coppia con il marito e dove fu notata da alcune giocatrici della nazionale che la invitarono a giocare con loro.

 A 22 anni vinse il suo primo titolo nazionale femminile a coppie seguito l'anno successivo da quello a squadre.

 Nel 1953 si trasferì a Nizza e perse i contatti con il bridge di vertice, ma continuò a giocare per il suo piacere e a provarsi come insegnante. Poi, risposatasi, si trasferì a Parigi dove le fu offerto di dirigere l'unico club di bridge allora esistente in città.

 Una decina di anni più tardi uno dei suoi figli divenne direttore del Club Med di Agadir e così Mike iniziò la sua carriera di organizzatrice che la portò a divenire una delle figure più conosciute del mondo del bridge, sia in Francia, che in Europa.

É scomparsa il 17 gennaio del 2020 a Marrakech.

  Mike Dennery was born in Oran on December 8, 1928 and has moved 15 years with a general who loved to play bridge with friends and so knew the game.

 In 1947, when she already had two of his three children, she moved to Tours where he played regularly in tandem with her husband and where she was noticed by some women bridge players of national that invited her to play with them.
 At 22 she won her first national title in women's pairs followed a year later by the women teams.

In 1953 she moved to Nice and lost contact with the bridge of the summit, but continued to play for his pleasure and to prove herself as a teacher. Remarried, she moved to Paris, where she was offered to direct the only bridge clubs then existing in the city.

A decade later, one of his sons became director of Club Med Agadir and so Mike began his organizing career that led her to become one of the best-known figures of the bridge world, both in France and in Europe.

She disappeared 17 January, 2020 in Marrakech.
