Nato a Napoli il 25 febbraio del 1979, vive a Bologna ed è stato per qualche anno una delle migliori giovani promesse azzurre.
Furio ha giocato spesso in coppia con il più giovane e titolato fratello Stelio e insieme erano noti in campo internazionale come i "Super Brothers".
Il suo primo trofeo internazionale di categoria lo coglie a Vienna agli Europei a Squadre Cadetti del 1998, si ripete poi a Fort Lauderdale in Florida nel Mondiale a Squadre Juniores del 1999, ancora oro agli Europei a Squadre Juniores nel 2002 e ancora oro nella squadra degli azzurrini ai Mondiali Juniores del 2003.
World Master, nella categoria Open, ha vinto la medaglia d'argento agli Europei Open a Coppie di Tenerife nel 2005, sempre in coppia con il fratello.

He takes the first international trophy in Vienna with European Teams Youngsters of 1998, then repeated the victory at the World Teams Juniors of 1999, followed by the gold medal at the European Juniors Teams in 2002 and at World Teams Juniors Cup of 2003.
In the Open Category he has won the silver medal in 2005 at the European Open Pairs of Tenerife, paired with her brother.
