Constance "Connie" McGinley è nata nel 1956 ed è cresciuta a Philadelphia cominciando a giocare a bridge fin da giovanissima con suo fratello Eddie.
Si racconta che a causa della sua disarmante avvenenza negli anni della sua gioventù si discusse se vietare l'ingresso nei club di bridge americani indossando la minigonna!
Quando divenne Life Master nel 1973 aveva 17 anni e cinque mesi ed era la più giovane donna di sempre a riuscirci.
Sposata Goldberg, Connie è divenuta una forte giocatrice americana che oltre ad aver guadagnato il titolo di World Life Master ha anche conquistato quello di World Master nella categoria open.
Tra i suoi molti successi ricordiamo il secondo posto allo IOC Grand Prix del 1999, la vittoria nel Campionato Mondiale a Coppe Miste del 2010, nello Sternberg del 1197, nel Cavendish Teams del 2006 e la Reisinger del 2025.

It is said that due to her disarming beauty, in her youth there was even a discussion about banning miniskirts from entering American bridge clubs!
When she became a Life Master in 1973, she was 17 years
and five months old, the youngest woman ever to achieve this.
Married to Goldberg, Connie became a strong American player who, in addition to
earning the title of World Life Master, also won the title of World Master in
the open category.
Her many successes include second place at the 1999 IOC Grand Prix, victory in the 2010 World Mixed Cup Championship, the 1997 Sternberg Championship, the 2006 Cavendish Teams Championship, and the 2025 Reisinger Championship.
