Cleveland, and was a well-known American player.
A graduate of Yale University, he took a master's degree at Western Reserve University.
In his career as a bridge player has won 5 NABC among which 3 times the Mitchell (1947, 1954, 1958) and 1949 Spingold.
Arthur died on February 3, 1995.
