Mircea Grabovschi č nato il 22 dicembre del 1952 a Sighisoara una cittadina della Romania centrale circa 50 Km a sud di Tirgu Mures ed č stato un forte giocatore di pallamano che ha vinto i Campionati del Mondo a Squadre nel 1974 e ha conquistato un argento Olimpico nel 1976. Con la nazionale romena ha disputato 199 incontri segnando 544 goal
Mircea, che č stato un alfiere della Dinamo Bucarest, dopo il suo ritiro ha intrapreso la carriera del coach.
Nel 2009 č stato eletto cittadino onorario della sua cittā natia.
Mircea č sempre stato anche un appassionato bridgista.
Mircea Grabovschi was born on 22 December 1952 in Sighisoara, a town in
central Romania about 50 km south of Tirgu Mures and was a strong handball
player who won the World Cup Championships in 1974 and won an Olympic silver
medal in 1976.
With the Romanian national team he played 199 matches scoring 544 goals.
Mircea, who was a bishop of Dinamo Bucharest, after his retirement has embarked on the career of the coach.
In 2009 he was elected honorary citizen of his hometown.
Grabovschi is an avid bridge player.
