Reuben Kunin è nato in Svizzera nel 1924 ed è scomparso a causa di un cancro a Toronto il 12 agosto del 2002.
Quando ancora viveva in Svizzera guidò da capitano non giocatore la nazionale elvetica durante le Olimpiadi del 1968 conquistando il 6º posato su un campo di 33 Paesi.
Durante il suo lungo soggiorno in Israele, sempre da capitano non giocatore, guidò la nazionale israelita portandola all'argento ai Campionati Europei del 1975 e al bronzo in quelli successivi del 1977 e intramezzandoli con un altro bronzo conquistato nella Bermuda Bowl del 1976.
Ottimo giocatore partecipò, spesso giocando in coppia con la moglie Sybil, alle selezione regionali dei campionati del mondo.
Reuben ha ricoperto con riconosciuta maestria diversi incarichi federali sia in seno alla WBF che alla EBL tanto che nel 1985 venne premiato con la medaglia d'argento dalla EBL.

When he was still living in Switzerland he led the Swiss national team as a non-player captain during the 1968 Olympic Games, winning the 6th place in a field in 33 countries.
During his long stay in Israel, again as a non-player captain, he led the Israelite national team to silver at the 1975 European Championships and bronze medals in the subsequent ones in 1977 and intermingled with another bronze won in the 1976 Bermuda Bowl.
Excellent bridge player participated, often playing in pairs with his wife Sybil, to the regional selection of the world championships.
Reuben has held various federal positions with recognized mastery both within the WBF and the EBL, and in 1985 he was awarded the silver medal by the EBL.
