Lord LEVER of Manchester

 Lord Lever di Manchester nacque il 15 gennaio del 1914 e si spense a Londra il 6 agosto del 1995.

 Lord Lever fu deputato laburista e Cancelliere del Ducato di Lancaster ed è stato forse il più forte politico tra i bridgisti se è vero che la squadra della Camera dei Comuni e quella della Camera dei Lord di solito vincevano a secondo della sua presenza.

 Sposato due volte ha avuto tre figlie dalla moglie Diane e un'altra dall'altro matrimonio.

 Noto per le sue molteplici assenze si favoleggia di un importante votazione perduta per non lasciare il tavolo da bridge in un momento cruciale del rubber.

Lord Lever of Manchester was born on 15 January 1914 and died in London on 6 August 1995.

Lord Lever was Labour MP and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and is perhaps the strongest political among bridge players, if it is true that the Team of the House of Commons and the House of Lords usually overcame a second of his presence.

Married twice, he had three daughters by his wife Diane and the one by other  marriage.

Known for his many absences fabled lost an important vote not to leave the bridge table at a crucial time of the rubber.
