Walter Malowan è nato il 19 agosto del 1882 a Vienna.
Poliglotta, sposato con Natalie Louise originaria di Buffalo (1892-1976), immigrò negli Stati Uniti nel 1913 e lavorò per la Intercontinental Exchange di New York, viaggiando per tutto il mondo in qualità di venditore. Divenne cittadino americano nel 1921.
Fu un brillante giocatore di bridge molto noto nel circuito americano e ideò la Convenzione che porta il suo nome.
Scomparve il 3 maggio del 1966 a New York a causa di un insufficienza respiratoria.
Walter Malowan was born on August 19, 1882 in Vienna.
Multilingual, married to Natalie Louise originally from Buffalo (1892-1976), immigrated to the United States in 1913, worked for the Intercontinental Exchange in New York, travelling around the world as a seller. He became an American citizen in 1921.
He was a brilliant bridge player well known in the American circuit and devised the Convention that bears his name.
She disappeared on May 3, 1966 in New York due to a respiratory failure.
