Panagiotis Manias è nato ad Atene nel 1932 ed è stato un nazionale greco di pallacanestro, di atletica leggera e di bridge.
Come cestista ha giocato nella Panellinios e con la Grecia ha collezionato 24 presenze tra il 1951 ed il 1957, disputando anche gli Europei del 1951 e le Olimpiadi del 1952.
Sempre con la nazionale ellenica di basket ha vinto un bronzo ai Giochi del Mediterraneo del 1955 e come saltatore ha partecipato a varie gare del lungo e dell'alto arrivando a saltare in quest'ultima specialità 1,90.
Come bridgista ha fatto parte della nazionale ellenica ed ha disputato le Olimpiadi del 1976 e del 1980.
Sposato e divorziato aveva una figlia.
Fu trovato annegato sulla spiaggia del Pireo di Votsalakia l'8 luglio del 2020 con un sacchetto di plastica che racchiudeva la testa e la sua morte è stata classificata come suicidio.
Panagiotis Manias was born in Athens in 1932 and was a Greek basketball, athletics and bridge national team.
As a basketball player he played in the Panellinios and with Greece he made 24 appearances between 1951 and 1957, also competing in the 1951 European Championships and the 1952 Olympics.
Always with the Hellenic national basketball team he won a bronze at the Mediterranean Games of 1955 and as a jumper he participated in various long and high competitions, jumping 1.90 in high.
As a bridge player he was part of the Hellenic national team and played in the 1976 and 1980 Olympics.
He married and divorced and he had a daughter.
He was found drowned in Piraeus on July 8, 2020 with a plastic bag that enclosed his head and his crime has been cataloged how suicide.
