Jennifer Mourgues è nata il 7 gennaio 1991 a Mont-de-Marsan un paese a metà strada tra Bordeaux e Biarritz, si è diplomata presso il locale liceo Charles Despiau ed ha vissuto a Nanterre, a Saint-Pierre-du-Mont e a Saint-Cloud quando è scomparsa a causa di un disgraziato incidente d'auto occorso a Landes il 30 luglio del 2025 lasciando la figlia Julia di soli 13 anni.
Jennifer che parlava correntemente francese e spagnolo, aveva imparato il bridge a scuola quando aveva 10 anni ed aveva colto il suo primo successo internazionale vincendo gli Europei Femminili per Squadre Giovanili nel 2013 a cui fece seguire l'anno successivo l'oro nei Campionati Mondiali Giovanili per Squadre Femminili e nel 2015 l'oro nei Campionati Europei Ragazze.
Passata nella categoria superiore, nel 2016 vinse subito l'oro nella prima edizione degli IMSA Elite Mind Games e l'anno successivo guadagnò il bronzo nel Coppie Femminili agli Europei Open.
Jennifer aveva la passione per la musicologia ma aveva dedicato la sua vita al bridge quasi interamente, infatti, oltre che forte giocatrice, era arbitro, insegnante ed organizzatrice di viaggi.
Jennifer Mourgues was born on January 7, 1991, in
Mont-de-Marsan, a village halfway between Bordeaux and Biarritz.
She graduated from the local Lycée Charles Despiau and lived in Nanterre, Saint-Pierre-du-Mont, and Saint-Cloud when she died in an unfortunate car accident in Landes on July 30, 2025, leaving behind her 13-year-old daughter, Julia.
Jennifer, who spoke fluent French and Spanish, had learned bridge at school when she was 10 and achieved her first international success by winning the European Women's Youth Team Championships in 2013, followed by gold at the World Youth Team Championships the following year, and gold at the European Girls' Championships in 2015.
Having advanced to the higher category, in 2016 she immediately won gold at the inaugural IMSA Elite Mind Games and the following year she earned bronze in the Women's Pairs event at the European Open.
Jennifer had a passion for musicology but had dedicated her life almost entirely to bridge. In addition to being a strong player, she was a referee, teacher, and travel organizer.
