Gilad Ofir è nato il 21 novembre del 1983 a Ashdod e dopo aver vissuto a Be'er Sheva e a Ramat Gan, oggi vive a Giv'atayim.
Responsabile marketing della Modi'in Ezrahi Group, in ambito bridgistico è cofondatore di GoBridge è ha ricoperto incarichi amministrativi ed organizzativi sia in seno alla WBF che alla EBL.
Come giocatore ha vinto gli European Schools Team del 2002, guadagnando poi l'argento nel 2004 sia nello Schools Team che nello Junior's Team e facendolo seguire dal bronzo del 2006 nello World University Cup.
Ha anche guidato da capitano non giocatore le squadre juniores israeliane portandole all'oro nel 2010 e 2011 e all'argento nel 2009 e nel 2012. Infine, ha guidato i ragazzi all'oro nel 2016.

As a player he won the European Schools Team in 2002, earning the silver in 2004 both in the Schools Team and in the Junior's Team and following him from the bronze of 2006 in the World University Cup.
He also led non-player captains to the Israeli junior teams bringing them to gold in 2010 and 2011 and to silver in 2009 and 2012.
Finally, he led the boys to gold in 2016.
