Julius Arnold van Ogtrop (Jules per gli amici), nacque ad Amsterdam il 21 novembre del 1919 da una famiglia di banchieri e nel 1947 spoṣ Joanna Elisabeth Francisca Maria Wennen (1924-2104) dalla quale ebbe sei figli.
Ottimo giocatore, campione olandese a coppie miste nel 1976, è stato anche uno scrittore di bridge ed un poeta dilettante anche se la sua professione fu quella del padre, in qualità di presidente di Rabobank.
Ufficiale dell'Ordine di Orange-Nassau, moŕ quasi centenario a Huizen il 17 febbraio del 2018.
Julius Arnold van Ogtrop (Jules for friends), was born in
Amsterdam on 21 November 1919 from a family of bankers and in 1947 he married
Joanna Elisabeth Francisca Maria Wennen (1924-2104) from whom he had six
children.
Excellent player, Dutch champion in mixed couples in 1976, he was also a bridge writer and an amateur poet even though his profession was that of his father, as president of Rabobank.
Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau, he died almost centenary in Huizen on February 17, 2018.
