Filippo Palma è nato il 30 ottobre del 1935 ed è stato una figura di spicco nel panorama del bridge nazionale ricoprendo varie cariche di prestigio tra cui quella di Vice Presidente della FIGB.
Enologo ed imprenditore agrario, ha fondato a Lucignano l'Associazione Bridge Villa Fabbriche che è stata un vanto per il bridge toscano ed ha riportato diversi successi a livello nazionale.
Giocatore di livello nazionale ha riportato diversi piazzamenti in più campionati nazionali e come capitano non giocatore ha guidato la nazionale juniores alla conquista dell'argento europeo nel 1984 e quella open alla conquista dello stesso metallo l'anno precedente. Un altro argento europeo lo ha conquistato guidando la ladies azzurre nel 1987.
É scomparso il 9 gennaio del 2020.

Palma was born on October 30, 1935 and was a prominent figure in the panorama of
the national bridge holding various prestigious positions including that of Vice
President of the FIGB.
Winemaker and agricultural entrepreneur, he founded the Bridge Villa Fabbriche Association in Lucignano, which was a source of pride for the Tuscan bridge and has reported several successes at national level.
National level player has reported several placements in multiple national leagues and as a non-player captain he led the junior national team to conquer European silver in 1984 and the open one to conquer the same metal the previous year. Another European silver won him by driving the blue ladies in 1987.
He disappeared on January 9, 2020.
