Franck  RIEHM

 Franck Riehm è nato il 24 febbraio del 1962 a Kehl una città tedesca sul Reno situata al confine con la Francia, imprenditore, vive a Parigi ed è stato il Presidente della Federazione Francese prima di essere eletto nel maggio del 2025 alla Presidenza della WBF.

 Riehm, che ha studiato prima a Colmar e poi a Strasburgo, ha conosciuto il bridge negli anni '80 dopo essersi laureato al ESSEC di Parigi e ben presto l'hobby si è trasformato in passione a tutto tondo.

 Imprenditore di successo e padre di 4 figli, dopo aver lavorato presso la Danone, negli anni '90 co-fonda  la catena di ristorazione Flam's con l'idea di democratizzare la Flammkuchen alsaziana in un formato piacevole e accessibile. Oggi il marchio è diffuso in tutta la Francia con ristoranti sia di proprietà che in franchises e l'alsaziano non disdegna di ripetere quanto il bridge sia stato importante nella formazione della sua visione strategica e nella sua evoluzione professionale.

 Dopo aver fondato anche Burgers e East Street nel 2012 comincia ad interessarsi più seriamente anche agli aspetti amministrativi ed organizzativi legati al bridge.

 Eletto nel 2020, come Presidente FFB, contribuisce ad un profondo rinnovamento organizzativo, appoggiando la sua azione su tre pilastri fondamentali: il bridge a scuola, il bridge intergenerazionale e il bridge digitale.

 Ottimo giocatore, si appresta ora a fare lo stesso lavoro a livello mondiale con il dichiarato intento di combattere il declino del gioco rilanciandone i valori, culturali, sociali ed umani.

Franck Riehm was born on February 24, 1962 in Kehl, a German city on the Rhine located on the border with France, an entrepreneur, he lives in Paris and was the President of the French Federation before being elected in May 2025 to the Presidency of the WBF.

Riehm, who studied first in Colmar and then in Strasbourg, discovered bridge in the 80s after graduating from ESSEC in Paris and the hobby soon turned into an all-round passion.

A successful entrepreneur and father of 4 children, after working at Danone, in the 90s he co-founded the Flam's restaurant chain with the idea of ​​democratizing Alsatian Flammkuchen in a pleasant and accessible format. Today the brand is widespread throughout France with both owned and franchised restaurants and the Alsatian is not afraid to repeat how important bridge has been in the formation of his strategic vision and in his professional evolution.

After founding Burgers and East Street in 2012, he began to take a more serious interest in the administrative and organizational aspects of bridge.

Elected in 2020 as FFB President, he contributed to a profound organizational renewal, supporting his action on three fundamental pillars: bridge at school, intergenerational bridge and digital bridge.

An excellent player, he is now preparing to do the same work worldwide with the declared intent of fighting the decline of the game by relaunching its cultural, social and human values.
