 Jakob Rųn č nato il 26 marzo del 1973 a Horsens,  una cittą sul fiordo omonimo 50' km a sud di Aarhus, ma oggi vive nella capitale danese.

 Scapolo, ha studiato presso il Ginnasio della sua cittą natale e poi presso l'Universitą di Aarhus ed ha un fratello Henrik, anche lui giocatore di bridge.

 Professionista del bridge, si č messo in luce vincendo l'argento ai Campionati Europei Juniores a Squadre del 1994 seguito dal bronzo nel 1996 e l'oro in quelli Mondiali del 1997 dopo aver guadagnato il bronzo in quelli del 1995.

 Jakob ha anche capitanato con successo alcune Nazionali Danesi, riportando il bronzo con quella Femminile nel Venice Cup 2000 e due volte l'argento con quella Juniores agli Europei del 2002 e ai Mondiali del 2003.

  Jakob Rųn was born March 26, 1973 in Horsens, a town on the homonymous fjord 50 'km south of Aarhus, but now lives in the Danish capital.

 Bachelor, he studied at the gymnasium of his native city and then at the University of Aarhus and has a brother Henrik, also bridge player.

 Professional of the bridge, was highlighted by winning the silver at the European Junior Teams Championships of 1994 followed by the bronze in 1996 and gold in the World Juniors Teams Championships in 1997 after winning the bronze medal in those of 1995.

Jakob has also led some successful Danish Nationals, bringing the bronze with the Women in the Venice Cup 2000 and twice a silver with the juniors at European Teams 2002 and the World Teams of 2003.
