Harry Ross (1928-2010), a Grand Life Master from Winter Springs FL, was born in Vienna, Austria.
At the age of 10, he was sent from his homeland via kinder transport during the brief period in which Jewish parents were able to save their children from the Nazis by sending them to strangers out of the country.
Ross began playing duplicate bridge in 1960. In 1997, he won the Senior Swiss Teams. At the time of his death, Ross had amassed more than 16,100 masterpoints.
An avid bridge teacher, Ross taught for 30 years.
His lessons and stories have appeared in the Bridge Bulletin, The Bridge World and the Sunshine Bridge News.
