Theodore Sandgren è nato nel 1909 ed è scomparso nel 1978 a Stoccolma dopo essere stato una delle figure di spicco del bridge svedese della prima metà del secolo scorso.

 Ufficiale di carriera, noto ai bridgisti italiani perché era solito passare le sue vacanze a Rimini, vinse i Campionati d'Europa a Squadre del 1939 ed il World Par Contest del 1938.

 Ha tenuto per anni una rubrica specializzata sul più diffuso quotidiano di Stoccolma, l'Expressen.

  Theodore Sandgren was born in 1909 and died in Stockholm in 1978 after being one of the leading figures of the Swedish bridge in the first half of the last century.

Career officer, he was known to Italian bridge players beacuse used to spend his holidays in Rimini, he won the European Championships Teams of 1939 and the World Par Contest 1938.

He held a specialized column for several years on the Expressen the largest daily newspaper of Stockholm.
