Roman SMOLSKI

 Roman Smolski è nato nel 1950 e vive tra Warwick nelle Isole Bermuda nelle quali è residente e Yeovil, una cittadina del Somerset.

 Roman ha sposato nel 2001 la sua compagna di bridge Vera Petty, una forte giocatrice, che è cresciuta alla sua scuola e con cui ha formato una temuta coppia che è riuscita a vincere il Campionato GB a Coppie Miste.

 Vera, che ci ha purtroppo prematuramente lasciato nel luglio del 2015, ha vinto per 12 anni consecutivi il titolo riservato al miglior giocatore bermudiano. Un primato che condivide con il marito  e che difficilmente verrà superato.

 Programmatore di computer, Roman è un World International Master che ha avuto il suo miglior periodo negli anni '80 quando ha vinto il Campionato del MEC a Squadre nel 1980 ed il Campionato Europeo a Squadre nel 1981.

 Più volte nazionale britannico e inglese ha anche capitanato la Squadra britannica nel 1989.

  Roman Smolski was born in 1950 and lives in Warwick in the Bermuda Islands where he is a resident and Yeovil, a town in Somerset.

Roman married his bridge partner Vera Petty in 2001, a strong player, who grew up at her school and with whom he formed a feared couple who managed to win the GB Mixed Pairs Championship.

Vera, who unfortunately left us prematurely in July 2015, won the title reserved for the best Bermudian player for 12 consecutive years. A record that she shares with her husband and which is unlikely to be surpassed.

Computer programmer, Roman is a World International Master who had his best period in the 1980s when he won the MEC Team Championship in 1980 and the European Team Championship in 1981.

He also captained the British team several times as a British and English international in 1989.
